Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, lasting from March 21 - April 20. Aries represents springtime, the burgeoning of new life and a great upsurge of energy and optimism. Aries is ruled by the planet Mars and this gives the sign its adventurous spirit. Blessed with abundant energy and drive, Arians have no time for laziness and make excellent motivators, whether at work or at home. Negative Arian characteristics arise out of their driven nature.
