An astrological chart is comprised of a circle that is broken up into twelve
sections, sort of like pieces of pie. Each of the sections is called a house,
and each house deals with a different area of life.
The FIRST HOUSE is
the house of beginnings, appearance, physical body, personality, and
represents the outlook on life.
The SECOND HOUSE
deals with finances (money you earn), possessions, values, and self-esteem.
The THIRD HOUSE
centers on communication. It deals with how you communicate, short distance,
or local travel, siblings and neighbors, type of car, conscious mind, and
early education.
The FOURTH HOUSE
indicates home, endings, and the latter part of life. It can also show a
nurturing parent (traditionally the mother).
The FIFTH HOUSE
represents recreation, children, romance (unmarried), love affairs,
speculation, creativity, and sexual activities.
The SIXTH HOUSE is
health, work, daily routines, pets, habits, and the unconscious mind.
The SEVENTH HOUSE
is the house of marriage, partnerships, open enemies, and public relations.
The EIGHTH HOUSE
deals with death, your attitudes towards sex, other peoples resources, taxes,
and inheritances.
The NINTH HOUSE
represents philosophy, religion, foreign travel and foreigners, in-laws,
beliefs, legal matters, super conscious mind, and contracts.
The TENTH HOUSE
indicates career or profession, authority, ego, and image or status. It can
also show an authoritative parent (traditionally the father).
The ELEVENTH HOUSE
centers on friends, goals, ideals, social values, large groups, humanitarian
activities, and aspirations.
The TWELVETH HOUSE
shows dreams, secrets, limitations, hidden resources or talents, frustration,
hidden enemies, and addictions.
